TechRadar Verdict The Dell XPS 13 is an extremely luxurious device, with all-day battery life and solid performance – not to mention a design that's something to die for. However, the lackluster audio and high price tag may turn some folks off. Find out more about how we test. Two minute reviewYou can’t really go wrong with a Dell XPS 13. Not only is it a great perennial Windows alternative to the MacBook Air, it’s a fantastic portable that routinely ranks amongst the best Ultrabooks, not to mention best laptops, on the the Dell XPS 13 late 2020 model, the XPS line only gets better thanks to its Intel Evo certification that’s only awarded to certain top-performing laptops. To get that certification, a computer must meet certain speed, efficiency, and performance requirements. This also means that the laptop comes at a premium, especially when you get into higher Dell XPS 13 late 2020 still offers a lot of value for many users, even if it’s not among the cheapest portables around. That’s thanks to powerful internals like a 2TB NVMe SSD, 16GB RAM, an Intel Tiger Lake CPU, and, of course, a gorgeous almost bezel-free 1610 full HD display which can be upgraded to it’s not perfect. Like most Ultrabooks, it comes with downward-firing speakers that sound a bit muffled. Laptop speakers are usually not particularly impressive, and the speaker placement on the XPS only makes them more disappointing. Of course, this isn’t unique to Dell and we’ve heard much worse. But, considering the price, we'd really like to hear better on this there is very little that is stopping us from highly recommending the XPS 13 to anyone in the market for an Ultrabook. Between its almost-decadent design and its performance, you will hardly find a better laptop. At this level, you're also getting a 1080p display without touch capability - you'll have to pay extra to touch your screen. Of course if that's not enough, you can configure the new Dell XPS 13 with more powerful hardware and better displays, with the price tag going up in turn. The unit we reviewed, with the hardware listed to the right, will set you back $1,749 ₤1,599, AU$3,099, with a 10th-gen Core i7 and a touchscreen. Again, however, we have to mention that the 1080p touchscreen doesn't seem to be available outside the definitely an expensive piece of kit, but much like the MacBook Pro it's trying to compete with, the XPS 13 feels like an expensive piece of kit. We have our reservations with charging this much for this level of hardware, but premium design is something you're into, Dell is serving it up here. And, if you really want to go all-out with it, you can have Dell strap a 4K touch screen on here for an extra $200 about ₤160, AU$330 and a 2TB SSD for an added $300 about ₤250, AU$500. This means that with everything added up, a fully kitted out Dell XPS 13 9300 is going to set you back a whopping $2,249 about ₤1,850, AU$3,720.Image credit FutureDesignThis will probably not surprise anyone, but the Dell XPS 13 is an absolute stunner. Not only is this laptop extremely lightweight at lb but it's super thin, too, measuring in at just inches at its thickest point. This makes the Dell XPS 13 an incredibly easy laptop to just throw in your backpack and carry around. However we do have to admit that we didn't actually toss it in our backpack in our testing - thanks to that social there's dozens of laptops out there that can say they're thin and light, where the XPS 13 really excels is in other areas of the design. There is very little in the way of wasted space here, as the keyboard extends nearly to both edges of the laptop, along with a healthily-sized and incredibly smooth touchpad. The keyboard itself is again a winner, with key travel that is just deep enough to be comfy without having to make compromises to the portability of the laptop. The touchpad, too, is pretty incredible. It's not on the level of, like, a MacBook Pro, but no Windows 10 laptop has ever even come close to that. For the most part, tracking is incredibly smooth and accurate, and the buttons don't feel as mushy and weak as they do with other Windows laptops. Likewise, the display is a thing of beauty. We reviewed the Dell XPS 13 with a 1080p touch display and it is without a doubt one of the brightest, most colorful displays we've seen in a while. Sure, the 4K model probably looks better, but we struggle to really see the point in getting a 4K display in a 13-inch laptop anyway. When we got the laptop ready for its battery test, we set the display brightness down to 50% - and we just left it there. The laptop was set to 100% brightness when it was first pulled out of its box, but it's more than bright enough for our work at 50%.We wish the same could be said for the speakers, however. For some reason Dell continues to kneecap its most premium laptop by putting the speakers on the bottom of the device. Especially when there's a little strip right above the keyboard where the speakers would genuinely fit. They don't sound great. For a bit of background, Dell is hyping the Dell XPS 13 as being part of its Dell Cinema program, aiming to bring pristine video and sound quality for folks that want to watch a lot of content on its laptops. The video part of that equation is definitely there - everything simply looks amazing on the Dell XPS 13 display. But wow that sound is not speakers on this laptop are probably going to be pretty decent for watching a quick YouTube video or binging some Netflix in the middle of the night when you're too stressed to actually sleep. But if you really want to enjoy your media, the speakers aren't going to cut it. Listening to Toxic by Britney Spears, the speakers on the XPS 13 almost completely stripped out the bottom end of the track. And that track without the booming bass - what's even the point? Even less bass-dependent tracks like Cirice by Ghost sound like they've completely lost their teeth. Just imagine, you're watching the latest Hollywood action movie and an explosion just sounds like a gust of wind. Watching the last action scene in Thor Ragnarok, even when the giant demon thing bursts out of the castle in Asgard, the sound leaves so much to be desired. One of the most bombastic scenes in the history of Marvel sounds boring on the XPS 13. If you're going to watch your favorite movies on the XPS 13's gorgeous display, please, for the love of everything good wear some of the best headphones. Image credit FutureMoving an annoying trend in current laptops to cut down ports in the name of portability, and the Dell XPS 13 is definitely guilty of that. You're getting two Thunderbolt 3 ports, a microSD and a headphone jack. That's it. That's admittedly more than many other laptops on the market right now and there's not really any space on the laptop for more, it just means you'll have to live that adapter life. Like previous versions of the XPS 13, the top of the keyboard deck is covered in this composite fiber palm rest. This is pretty comfy, but it is definitely something that will get gross over time. Ultimately, the Dell XPS 13 is a premium device aimed at folks that want to get lightweight computing done and look good while doing it. And, really, it ultimately succeeds. It's a beautiful piece of kit, we just wish Dell would take audio seriously for once. And, well, it's fine. This little processor provides enough juice to power you through pretty much any mundane computing task, but might struggle in super heavy workloads like video editing. But, there's one key feature to Ice Lake that should be noted the GPU. The Intel Gen11 graphics, or "Intel Iris," are supposedly about 2x more powerful than the integrated graphics found in last-generation Intel Whiskey Lake processors. That definitely sounds impressive, and the fact that this laptop can score a healthy 2,856 points in Time Spy compared to the LG Gram 17 2019's 1,094 backs up Intel's claims. Still, this is very much not a gaming laptop. The Dell XPS 13 might be able to handle some esports titles at 720p, but you're not exactly going to be getting killer Doom Eternal PC performance is all we're saying. Raw CPU performance is another interesting story. Ice Lake in general is targeted more towards media consumption than raw performance, which is what its sister architecture Comet Lake is meant for. This means that in benchmarks like Cinebench and Geekbench see slightly lower scores than 8th-generation. As for what that's like in practice, we were able to have dozens of Chrome tabs open in a panicked bid to keep up with work without having the laptop slow down even a little. What is super impressive, however, is that there is virtually no heat that transfers up to the keyboard or trackpad. Now, while the bottom of the trackpad does warm up quite a bit when it's working hard, the keyboard feels just as cool after 8 hours as it does when we first open the laptop up at the beginning of the day. Even some of the best-cooled laptops will transfer some heat to the top-side of the chassis, but we're super impressed by how well the Dell XPS 13 handles this. Image credit FutureBattery lifeSure, the Dell XPS 13 performs extremely well, but because this is such a portable laptop, you'd expect long battery life so you could carry the laptop around for a long time without worrying about carrying around a charger. And, well, the XPS 13 largely delivers. In our movie test, the Dell XPS 13 lasts a respectable 9 hours and 40 minutes, and even in the more demanding PCMark 8 battery test lasts just under 6 hours. Benchmarks only tell so much of the story, though. What's really impressive is how well the battery keeps up with our daily work. We're not exactly easy on the laptops we test, loading up chrome with dozens of tabs and listening to music - and we have no problem getting through a full day of work, with some battery left over for the next morning. If you're looking for a laptop to take to the office with you, where you can chill and watch some Netflix on the train home, the Dell XPS 13 makes a pretty good case for itself. Image credit FutureSoftware and featuresBecause the Dell XPS 13 is a flagship, it's not bogged down with a ton of needless bloatware. However, there are a few pieces of software that offer some good ease of life course you have update assistants and customer service apps, but one of the most unique pieces of software here is Dell Cinema Guide. This allows you to basically collect all your streaming services under one app, and search for movies or TV shows you want to watch through all the libraries at once. Not exactly the most vital piece of software in the world, but we have to admit its pretty cool. Beyond that, the Dell XPS 13 features both versions of Windows Hello, with a fingerprint scanner above the backspace key that doubles as a power button, along with a IR-capable webcam that can scan your face to let you into the device. Most Popular Tom's Guide Verdict The Dell XPS 13 2022 is slimmer and lighter than previous models but its lack of ports and minimalist design leave something to be desired. Not only does it look striking, but it also feels good to hold when you’re carrying it around. With the exception of a Dell logo etched on the lid, the laptop has no adornments. Our review unit has an Umber finish but you can also select Sky. Either way, you’ll have a gorgeous-looking XPS 13 is the definition of an ultraportable. It’s not as thin as the MacBook Air M2, but it is lighter and has an overall smaller footprint. Unfortunately, the laptop’s thinness seems to come at the cost of ports, but we’ll get to that in a Dell XPS 13 2022 is extremely thin and light. Image credit Tom's GuideOne of my biggest issues with the Dell XPS 13 is that it’s needlessly difficult to open the lid. Unlike the MacBook Air M2, here's no lip to grab onto. We noted this same issue in our Dell XPS 13 Plus review. With some of the design tweaks made to this XPS 13, an easier-to-open lid would have been a smart XPS 13 2022 review PortsOnly two USB-C portsNo headphone jackThe latest XPS 13 is not only thin in design, but it’s also thin on ports. That’s appreciated, but I would have liked a proper headphone jack instead. I don’t like worrying about losing these could argue that a laptop doesn't need a headphone jack due to the growing popularity of the best wireless earbuds and best wireless headphones. Similarly, you might believe the headphone jack had to be sacrificed in order to make the laptop this think that last argument falls flat considering how the thinner MacBook Air M2 retains a headphone jack. All of these elements were represented well and it was easy to discern what was happening even with so much chaos on screen. You could argue that a laptop might not need a touchscreen, especially when it bumps up the price by $100 in this specific case. This was especially impressive in the movie trailer since there was so much going on, sound-wise. The blaring soundtrack, booming explosions and loud dialogue all sounded great. Music playback is somewhat of a mixed bag through the XPS 13. Iron Maiden’s “Aces High” sounded phenomenal, with the soaring vocals, blazing guitar solos, and thunderous bass lines coming through clearly — even at maximum volume. However, In Flames’ “Cloud Connected” sounded like a jumbled mess on maximum the Dell XPS 15 OLED 2022 I reviewed last year, the XPS 13 comes with the Waves Maxx Audio Pro technology and Waves Professional Tuning apps, along with a slew of EQ presets within the included companion app. The presets do a good job of enhancing the sound, especially within different music was especially impressed by how awesome film trailers sounded with the Movie preset enabled. In Sid Meier’s Civilization VI Gathering Storm, we registered just 13 frames per second fps at both 1080p and 1200p resolutions — which is effectively unplayable, and worse than what the Swift 5 25 fps 1080p and MacBook Air M2 46 fps 1470 x 956 resolution. This is especially true if you have big hands as I do. Still, I found the keyboard was just big enough for me to type comfortably for extended periods. The backlit keys have good travel distance and produce a satisfying amount of resistance when pressed. The Dell XPS 13 2022 has a decent keyboard that provides just enough space to comfortably type on. Image credit Tom's GuideI tend to type slower on laptop keyboards in general, but I typed at a decent clip once I adjusted to the keyboard's relatively small size. One of my favorite XPS features is the soft textured carbon fiber covering the palm rests. Unfortunately, 2022’s XPS 13’s palm rests are plain aluminum like the rest of the laptop. That's a major disappointment considering how the soft texture makes typing on machines like the aforementioned XPS 15 OLED and Alienware x14 such a joy. The soft palm rests are definitely missed. The Dell XPS 13 2022 is missing the carbon fiber-covered palm rest of previous XPS models. Image credit Tom's GuideThe touchpad isn’t exactly spacious but I didn’t have any trouble using it. If you’re anywhere with decent lighting, you should appear presentable. You can see that in the image above that I took in our office. The image is grainy and somewhat washed out, but I’ve seen worse webcams. Still, if you’re image conscious, you could always connect one of the best webcams. Dell XPS 13 2022 review Battery life and heatSolid battery lifeRuns hotOne of the best things about the Dell XPS 13 is that it effectively offers all-day battery life. The Dell XPS 13 2022 has impressive battery life. Image credit Tom's GuideOn our battery test, which involves continuous web surfing with the display set to 150 nits of brightness, the Dell XPS 13 lasted for an impressive 13 hours and 11 minutes. Though the MacBook Air M2 lasted longer at 1433, Dell’s machine wins over the Swift 5 1124. Suffice it to say, the XPS 13 likely won’t run out of power when you need it our standard heat test, which involves running a heat gun over the laptop after streaming 15 minutes of full HD video on it, we found the hottest point to be on the rear left underside of the XPS 13, which peaked at 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Generally, we consider temperatures over 95 degrees as being uncomfortable. Dell XPS 13 2022 review Verdict I was initially impressed with the latest Dell XPS 13 due to its sleek ultraportable design. However, the more time I spent with Dell's latest notebook, the more I realized the company has done a disservice to its popular XPS 13 understand the desire for ultra-thin and ultra-portable laptops, but at what point does a device become thinner and lighter than it needs to be? Again, I tend to favor smaller laptops over big ones, as I detailed in my 4 reasons why I prefer the MacBook Pro 14-inch over the MacBook Pro 16-inch piece. But if we have to sacrifice ports in order to get a slimmer device, I'd rather have something that's slightly thicker. And as the Galaxy Book 3 Pro 360 and MacBook Air M2 demonstrate, you can still have a thin laptop with the ports you where does that leave the latest Dell XPS 13? It's a good laptop for everyday computing and for consuming streaming content. I can't say it's exceptional in either of those tasks, but it gets the job done. And to its credit, the XPS 13 is very affordable and has great battery life. If you need a reliable laptop you can take anywhere, you can't go wrong with the latest XPS if Dell's laptop isn't to your liking, the Acer Swift 5 is one of the best Windows laptops out there. It's more expensive than the XPS 13, but it's well worth it if you want more performance along with plenty of ports including HDMI and USB-A. And if you like the Apple ecosystem, then the MacBook Air M2 is one of the best MacBooks you can buy. It's not only slim and light, but also faster and longer lasting than the XPS 13. And you can actually open the lid easily. Tony is a computing writer at Tom’s Guide covering laptops, tablets, Windows, and iOS. It’s not exactly a welcome change, but it’s certainly worth giving a chance, especially if you’re a remote worker or a digital nomad. Pros +Very capable for productivity+Stunning 3K display+1080p webcam coupled with a rear camera+Incredibly portable and ideal for travel+New tablet form is useful Cons -New detachable form not for everyone-A premium purchase-Folio takes some getting used to-Only two USB-C ports Why you can trust TechRadar We spend hours testing every product or service we review, so you can be sure you’re buying the best. Find out more about how we test. The Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 we’ve all come to know and love is no more, may it rest in peace. Sorry no, it’s not that Dell has retired the line. On the contrary, it looks like it’s here to stay judging by the recent updates the manufacturer has made on it case in point, its form factor, which leads me to my original has taken that gorgeous svelte convertible form factor that we all loved about the Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 – you know, the one that gave us that gorgeous, luxurious shell and the four-modes-in-one design – and raised us a Windows 11-powered Lenovo Chromebook Duet instead. By that, I mean that you’re getting a tablet with a folio attached as opposed to an actual I’m not at all dissing the Chromebook Duet here; it is, after all, one of the best Chromebooks on the market and a personal favorite of mine. However, it’s also hard to find joy in its detachable design, and seeing one of the best Windows laptops not to mention one of the best laptops on the market downgrade its stunner of a form factor to a flimsy folio that requires a solid surface to be properly functional was, I must admit, a realize what Dell was trying to do here. The Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 2022 is much lighter, much thinner, and much more compact than its predecessor while offering next-generation specs under the hood, which makes it an excellent laptop to carry around with you as a result, whether you’re going on business trips or trying the whole digital nomad thing once again. In that, it has succeeded. I brought this laptop with me to Greece for two weeks, using it as my work laptop there, and it offered me access to a full-fledged operating system without the physical burden of even the best this new detachable form, however, come some sacrifices. There are only two ports on hand – specifically, two USB-C ports – and the battery has been downgraded from about 10 hours to a mere eight. Rubbing salt in the wound, the folio isn’t only flimsy; it also has a steep learning curve if you’re used to the traditional laptop design. And while the keyboard and the trackpad on it are reliable and comfortable to use, the laptop still keeps a steep price tag that I personally think is only worth it if you’re getting that famed XPS chassis with it. As it is now in its current form, Dell should have brought that price down closer to the aside, the Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 2022 is worth it, but only if you’re planning on traveling a lot or traipsing around the world for a year or so. Otherwise, I would honestly go for something else XPS 13 2-in-1 2022 Price & availabilityHow much does it cost? From $1,149 about £910 / AU$1,695When is it available? Available nowWhere can you get it? Available in the US, UK, and AustraliaYou'd think Dell would considerably drop the price of the Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 2022 seeing as it's completely swapped out that premium chassis with an XPS Folio, making this 2022 remodel essentially a Windows tablet with a detachable keyboard. Sadly, it still starts out steep, setting you back $1,149 in the US for the Intel Core i5-1230U, 8GB RAM, 512GB SSD configuration that comes with both the Folio and the can get this same base configuration for cheaper in the US, but at $949, you're also sacrificing the folio and the stylus. The stylus, I can live without; but taking the detachable keyboard and mount away means giving up its laptop functionality, leaving you with a Windows tablet and missing the point of the XPS 13 line the UK, it's even more expensive, with the UK base configuration of Intel Core i5-1230U and 8GB RAM but only 256GB SSD setting consumers back £1, This same base configuration is also available in Australia for AU$1, score / 5Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 2022 SpecsThe Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 2022 comes in several different configurations in the US. Dell offers both Intel Core i5-1230U and the i7-1250U chips, as well as 8GB and 16GB LPDDR4x of RAM, 512GB and 1TB SSD, and the options to add the XPS Folio and/or the XPS Stylus, and allows consumers to pick and choose as they see fit for their the UK and Australia, however, choosing your configuration is much simpler. UK customers have four to choose from, starting with the i5-1230U-powered base model with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage and topping off with a higher-end i7-1250U, 16GB RAM, 1TB storage configuration. I loved the XPS line since its inception, but I am not truly convinced that the shift from a sleek 2-in-1 from to a detachable folio is the way to go. Don't get me wrong; I have, within a week, managed to adapt to this new design. I've gotten the hang of it. I've found my routine with it. And it really does make the Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 2022 a joy to carry around and use when you're away from your home or office desk. At pounds and x x inches x x mm, it manages to be much lighter, much thinner, and much more compact than its hardly felt it was there in my backpack as I clocked 20K steps in Athens or hauled my luggage on ferries. So much so that I had to regularly feel for it around the back to make sure that it hasn't been ripped out of the bag by some pickpocket. That compact form also makes it a joy to use on flights and trains since it doesn't take up that much space and isn't, therefore, in danger of being squished by the uncaring passenger in the seat in front of you who doesn't bother to look before reclining their seat.Image credit Future / Michelle Rae UyStill, the XPS Folio, much like many other folios, is flimsy around the middle so that the keyboard is always flapping around willy-nilly, which means really that the only comfortable way to use this thing is when you've got a solid surface handy. Forget about using your weekender bag as a makeshift desk at the airport; the laptop will dance around so much you might as well install a disco ball and start a rave at your gate.Image credit Future / Michelle Rae UyThe mount part of the folio does have several levels of adjustments so you can choose the optimal angle of the screen, and I want to make sure that doesn't go unnoticed because it is useful. The keyboard is still, as with previous models, very satisfying and comfortable to type on. And the trackpad is very responsive and accurate - not to mention, nice to the touch.Image credit Future / Michelle Rae UyThe XPS Folio doesn't have any ports on hand, unlike my beloved iPad Magic Keyboard, and Dell leaves it to the XPS 13 itself to house the ports. Seeing as it is now essentially a Windows tablet, there's not much space for a lot, which means two USB-Cs it is! If you're expecting an SD or microSD reader, you better bring a USB hub. The good news is that Dell has included a USB-C to USB-A adapter and a USB-C to headset adapter in the box. Both ports are also on the same side, which can be annoying sometimes if you're charging.Image credit Future / Michelle Rae UyThe 2880 x 1920 display boasts 500 nits of brightness and touch functionality. My review model came with a stylus, but I'm not really big on using that unless I'm scribbling on my tablet. So, unless you know you're using it extensively, I recommend skipping that and saving $100/£100. Also due to its tablet form, you're getting a rear 2160p at 30 fps camera on top of the 1080p webcam and 480p at 60fps IR camera in front. It manages to keep up with the Dell XPS 13 2022, which by the way has kept that traditional laptop shell that it's 2-in-1 counterpart is now same specced XPS 13 delivered comparable performance and results to the XPS 13 2-in-1 2022, with the latter beating it out slightly in multicore performance in the Geekbench test. Though the XPS 13 did beat it in everything else, it wasn't by much so that shouldn't have a massive impact in real-world practice, the laptop is capable of multitasking, especially running 20 or so tabs at the same time while streaming movies on the Netflix app. I haven't experienced any slowdowns while doing productivity work on this laptop. It fares well with very light photo editing on Lightroom as well, but I wouldn't edit on this considering that very small display. Also, our display test only yielded 70% DCI-P3 coverage, and the brightness wasn't uniform across the board so it's not the best for video editing either.Image credit Future / Michelle Rae UyThe 2880 x 1920 display is still fantastic, however. It's very bright with sharp visuals and vivid colors. Both All Quiet on the Western Front and Luther The Fallen Sun look fantastic on it, and there's a lot of detail even in darker scenes, which I really appreciate as I absolutely detest watching scenes where you can barely see anything side eye to you, Chris Nolan. Its touchscreen feature is amazing to use as well, not to mention handy. I found myself using it more often than I usually do when on a touchscreen laptop, perhaps due to its tablet nature. Image credit Future / Michelle Rae UyThe 1080p webcam isn't really fancy, though the higher resolution is certainly appreciated. Still, it seems to have a smaller set aperture, which means you can't really get creative with your exposures, and only records at 30fps so there's noticeable ghosting. The picture quality is sharp and clean, but expect considerable chromatic and luminance noise in darker scenes - not too much that it ruins the video but enough that it's distracting to more discerning is a 480p at 60fps IR camera for Windows Hello facial recognition login, and this one works fast, and it works like a charm. It logs me on every single time within a split second without a for the speakers, they're decent but not amazing. There's enough volume, and the soundstage is good. But the Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 2022 is essentially a tablet now so it's not like they can fit in a truly impressive set of drivers in there. Expect the sound quality to be somewhat hollow with recessed mids and score / 5Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 2022 BatteryScored just a little over 8 hours in our Web Surfing battery testLasts even shorter when doing productivity workI wish the battery life were better on the Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 2022. The previous generation could squeeze out about 10 hours of juice, but this one is held back by middling battery life. Granted, our Web Surfing battery test manage a decent eight-hour or a little over life out of it, which in theory means you're getting a full workday off of it, that isn't exactly the case in practice. During actual use on a typical work day, it didn't last as long as I had hoped, the battery draining to about 50% with brightness at 50% after four hours of productivity use, which to me just means having about 10 tabs open on Google Chrome and nothing you're the type to stream shows while you work, this definitely isn't going to last you an entire day. It's a good thing, I guess, that you can charge it with just about any 45W USB-C charger, and it charges decently score 3 / 5Image credit Future / Michelle Rae UyShould you buy the Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 2022?Swipe to scroll horizontallyDell XPS 13 2-in-1 2022AttributesNotesRatingPriceSwitching out that luxurious XPS shell with a flimsy folio, this should be cheaper than it / 5SpecsThere are plenty of configurations to choose from in the US, UK and / 5DesignThe XPS Folio definitely has a steep learning curve, but it's something you can adjust to within a week. It has now taken a tablet with a keyboard form, which was a suprising move by Dell. Naturally, I had to see just how convenient or non-convient this form factor is by taking it with me on my two-week holiday in my three week testing, I used it for work, surfing, and streaming movies and shows. I also used it for work video meetings as well as personal video calls with friends. I also ran it through our suite of benchmark years of extensive experience testing and reviewing laptops, and as one of the Computing editors at TechRadar, I have all the right tools to determine whether or not a laptop is worth your time and money.
